The 2003 Toyota Corolla comes with a totally new exterior and interior. It’s gotten a major makeover. On the outside it’s more slick and sexy with a racier upscale look. On the inside it’s more plush, comfortable and with lots more room to spread your legs. Horsepower has been increased to 130 so you can get more fun out of your drive.

The Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i) 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine gives an added boost to an already nimble machine.

You have three models to choose from. The CE, the S and the LE. All of them come well equipped with features such as daytime running lights, power remote-controlled outside mirrors, digital clock, front and rear dual cup holders, trunk lamp and a deluxe AM/FM ETR/CD with 4 speakers.

The more expensive S and LE models offer such amenities as bigger tires, power door locks, chrome-accented door handles, shift lever and shifter surround, map lamps, white silhouette instrumentation leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows, wood-grain-style interior, and multifunction remote keyless entry.

Extras include a leather trim package, 4 wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Cruise control, alloy wheels, all-weather guard package and power tilt/slide moon roof so you can howl at the moon or just let the sun shine through.

If you like to shift through the curves there is a 5-speed manual transmission available. Otherwise the 4-speed automatic electronically controlled transmission should be enough to let the wind chase you around town or out in the sticks.

There is a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat in case the 13.6 cubic feet. of luggage capacity is not enough for your junk. I mean your precious belongings.

Four of your friends can hitch a ride in comfort as you show off what this baby can do on the open road or just around town.

With estimated MPG city/highway for the manual of 32/40 and the automatic of 30/39, you’ll be tearing up lots of highway before having to worry about refueling.

To keep you safe and sound, you get standard equipment such as dual front air bags, side-impact door beams, energy-absorbing steering column, head-impact protection structure, child-protector door locks and crumple zones.
