Art Shaman
Stephanie Farago's dynamic works of art demonstrate a profound understanding of the spectrum of human experience. With the application of dramatic color and an evocative use of light she creates an ambiance that compels the viewer to selflessly abandon the limits of identity and journey into self-discovery.
Drawing from vast classical resources and utilizing techniques from the old masters, she conjures a theater of irony, mystery and whimsy. Farago's work manifests the power to affect emotions and invites the viewer to go deeper by employing archetypes such as the romantic, the fool and the hypocrite.
As an Art Shaman, Farago addresses the struggle of every person with the higher and lower self...She embraces art as a way to resolve the innate dilemma of the human condition.
Farago's vibrantly anti-nihilistic paintings breathe life back into the arts. Her visionary works reveal an ordinarily hidden reality in order to assist in transformation and healing, leading the way to self-emancipation.
To quote Farago,
"If you're waiting for someone to save you, you're waiting for them to enslave you." - LR
