Beauty of the Month

Local Singer Dee Dee O'Malley is running strong, having just sung the national anthem for the opening ceremonies of the LA Marathon 2000, broadcast nationally. Last year, she won the "Music Video Party" award for best video at the Star 98.7 Lilith Fair contest for her video of "That's How You Got to Me, Baby." Dee Dee's CD, Simple was voted the best female Indie CD of 1999 by Music Connection magazine. Dee Dee's crystal clear voice communicates with an emotion and humor that makes you feel welcome and involves you with the music. Her first single off the album "That's How You Got to Me, Baby" convinces us that, even if the going gets rough, you can still keep on going. "Rome" is another beautifully crafted song about how the greats, past and present, persevered through their own self-doubt and the uncertainty of the future to leave their mark on the world as artists, thinkers or lovers. The lyrics on this album are masterfully written and her performance of these extraordinary songs about everyday life is captivating.
